Due to the widespread and growing interest in the work of the Foundation for A Course in
Miracles, and upon the urging of students who found it difficult to come cross-country to the Main
Campus, New York Center, the Foundation opened a West Coast branch in early 1997. The
Foundation's affiliate, known as the La Jolla Branch, is located in an office building in downtown La Jolla,
California (a suburb of San Diego). Directed by Robert and Kathleen Draper, this branch has a large
classroom, bookstore, and a library, and adheres to the same high standards of quality teaching as students
have come to expect from the parent organization. Students of A Course in Miracles are invited to attend workshops, lectures, and tape studies. All classes are conducted by Robert and Kathleen Draper.
Workshops focus on a central theme from A Course in Miracles and are composed mainly of lecture, though the format allows for questions and some discussion. Workshops are held on Sundays, and pre-registration is not required. If this program format interests you, please see our detailed Schedule of Events page.
Classes are held each Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m, except on holidays Please check our detailed Schedule of Events page to view these exceptions. The fee for these lectures is $5.00, payable at the door. Pre-registration is not required.
With the tape study, students are assigned a tape to listen to outside of class. This tape set is the subject of discussion during the tape study program period. Classes are held on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. or Tuesdays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. If this program format interests you, please see our detailed Schedule of Events page, and call the La Jolla branch to pre-register at 858-551-1227. Please note that pre-registration for this program is required.
